Barons Floor Hockey Caravan Visits MLK Elementary School Tomorrow

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons are bringing hockey indoors to MLK Elementary School tomorrow from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., the Barons front office announced today.As part of their initiative to promote healthy living and team work, the Barons have a portable floor hockey unit available to use in schools and community centers. The equipment can be used by groups as small as 20 kids to as many as 80. The hockey lesson teaches the participants about healthy living, being active, staying in school and working as a team.
MLK Elementary is located at 1201 NE 48th Street in Oklahoma City.

This weekend is busy for the Barons as they host the Charlotte Checkers. Friday is $1 hot dog night and jersey giveaway night. The first 2,000 adults and 1,000 kids will receive a Barons practice jersey from The Twister and Freedom 43. Friday night will also feature autographs from six team members following the game. Saturday, fans can come to the ice following the game for a chance to win a turkey from Schwab Meat Co. Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.
