Pats Acquire 20 Year Old Forward

October 12, 2011 - Western Hockey League (WHL) Regina Pats

Regina, Saskatchewan - Regina Pats General Manager, Chad Lang would like to announce the acquisition of 20 year old forward, Matt Marantz from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.

Matt began the season with the Spokane Chiefs before being sent to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on September 29th, 2011. This season between the Chiefs and Hurricanes, Marantz has 5 assists in 7 games. Last season with the Chiefs, Marantz had 20 goals and 22 assists in 68 games while having an outstanding +21.

Matt will join the Regina Pats immediately and is expected to be in the line-up tonight as the Pats will take on the Calgary Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome. Puck drops at 7:00pm, with the Press Box Sports Bar pregame show beginning at 6:35.
