Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2011!
The Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce the six people who comprise the 2011 induction class: former NFL stars Dwight Stephenson and Roger Brown, longtime Old Dominion University coaches Beth Anders and Wendy Larry, and athletic administrators Blake Cullen and the late Dick Price will be enshrined during a banquet on Tuesday, October 18th at Norfolk Scope.
Reservations for the banquet are available now! For further information or to make reservations, call Linda at (757) 622-2222 extension 101. This prestigious banquet will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00 PM and dinner will be served at 7:00 PM. We'll see you there!
Calling All Tides Season Ticket Holders!
During the 2011 season, we gave TVs and nights in luxury suites to a few lucky season ticket holders and that was just the beginning. Heading into 2012, we're giving away more prizes! This time around, we're giving prizes to 2011 season ticket holders that renew their season tickets for 2012 by December 1, 2011. Here's the list of prizes we're giving away:
1. 18-person Luxury Suite for a Game in April or May.
2. 12-person Luxury Suite for a Game in April or May.
3. Dinner for Four (4) at Hits at the Park Restaurant.

Norfolk Tides Welcome New GM and Celebrate New Role for Longtime GM!
On October 4, 2011, the Norfolk Tides announced that Joe Gregory, Vice President of the Norfolk Admirals, will become General Manager of the Norfolk Tides. Gregory will also remain in his current role with the Admirals, overseeing the daily operation of both clubs. Dave Rosenfield, General Manager of the Norfolk Tides since 1963, will step away from his longtime role and remain with the club as its Vice President and as senior adviser to President Ken Young.
"I am healthy, I am happy and realize that 50 years in baseball here has been very generous to me," said Rosenfield. "It's time to take a step to the side and let some younger talent take over. I am very pleased that Joe will be coming to the Tides as the General Manager. He has proven to be an effective sports franchise operator and Ken and I have the utmost confidence he will succeed here."
