The Distillery to Host Amerks 2011-12 Season Kick off Party October 11

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans Vice President of Business Operations Rob Kopacz announced today that The Distillery, a longtime sponsor of the Amerks, will host a 2011-12 Season Kick-Off Party at the restaurant's Mt. Hope location on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Amerks players and coaches will be on hand at the event to meet fans and sign autographs while ClearChannel radio host John DiTullio will broadcast live from The Distillery on WHTK 1280 AM and 107.3 FM from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
"The Rochester Americans and The Distillery have a long-standing partnership and we're both excited for the 2011-12 season to begin," said Kopacz. "The Kick-Off Party is a great way for our players and coaches to meet the tremendous hockey fans in Rochester."
"We are delighted that the Amerks and Sabres have reunited," said Peter Psyllos, President of The Distillery. "We are looking forward to a great hockey season and wish both teams the best of luck."
The Distillery will offer food and drink specials throughout the event, including $2.25 pints of Coors Light, Molson, Yeungling and Miller Lite, as well as $2.50 bottles of imported and domestic beers. The Distillery's "Beer of the Month" is Goose Island Honker's Ale, with pints available for just $3. The menu's "monthly features" include jerk wings, a BBQ chicken sandwich and a Baja burger, as well as $3 tacos (fish, chicken or beef).
The Distillery is located at 1142 Mt. Hope Avenue in Rochester.
The Amerks will play their 2011-12 Home Opener on Thursday, Oct. 13 versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m. Individual tickets for that game are available for just $11 and $12. In addition, full-season tickets, half-season plans and 10-packs, individual game tickets are now on sale for the Amerks' 2011-12 season.
