Maple Leaf Connections

What do Doug Gilmour, Tie Domi, Todd Gill and Curtis Joseph have in common' In addition to all playing with the Toronto Maple Leafs at one point in their careers they also all had a connection to the Kingston Frontenacs this summer. Doug Gilmour stepped down as the Head Coach of the Fronts and moved up to the press box as their new General Manager. Gilmour then replaced his previous position with former Leaf defenceman Todd Gill. With his first selection in the draft as GM he chose former Leaf tough guy Tie Domi's son, Max, with the 8th overall pick this summer. Last month Max was traded to the London Knights for a number of draft picks. Former Leaf netminder Curtis Joseph was added to the Fronts coaching staff this summer as a Goaltending Consultant.

The hulking Slovakian defenceman, affectionately nicknamed "Big Mike," is already becoming a fan favourite here for his physical style of play.
