OMAHA, Neb. - It may not be the safest blueprint to winning a division championship, but the Omaha Storm Chasers have made a habit out of winning game fours of series to earn splits. Tuesday night was no exception, as the Chasers won 5-2 over the Nashville Sounds to wrap up their second-to-last homestand of the year at Werner Park.

It was the 13th time in 15 tries that the Chasers have won after trailing 2-1 in a series, including their last eight in a row. They have also won 17 of their last 20 game fours of series dating back to the week leading up to Memorial Day.

Omaha starter Sean O'Sullivan (8-2) worked seven dominant innings to earn the victory, his sixth win in his last six starts. He allowed six hits, struck out a season-high eight and did not walk a batter, throwing 70 of his 100 pitches for strikes.

O'Sullivan got some help along the way from his offense, namely the top third of the order. Jarrod Dyson went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored, David Lough went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice fly and two sacrifice bunts, and Lorenzo Cain drilled a three-run homer, walked twice and stole his 14th base of the season. Cain's home run was his 16th long ball of the season.

Nashville's Sam Narron (6-6) took the loss in the game, allowing five runs - four earned - on nine hits in 7.1 innings pitched. The only runs of the game for the Sounds were produced in the ninth, when Caleb Gindl hit an RBI triple and Mike Rivera scored him on an infield ground out.

With the victory, the Chasers improved to 73-57, matching their high-water mark of 16 games over .500. They also lowered their magic number to nine with 13 games remaining, as Memphis kept pace with another victory, the Redbirds' ninth win in their last 11 contests.

Omaha will hit the road for five games against the New Orleans Zephyrs before returning home to face the Round Rock Express for the final series of the 2011 regular season. The Zephyrs have already been eliminated by the Express, who are waiting to see which team from the American Conference Northern Division they will face. Omaha holds a 4.0-game lead over Memphis, a 7.5-game lead over Nashville and a 12.5-game advantage over Iowa.

Game one of the series at Zephyrs ballpark will feature a matchup between Vin Mazzaro (5-2, 4.51) against veteran Chris Sampson (8-1, 3.74), whom the Chasers knocked around on July 17 in Omaha. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m., with the game broadcast live on Omaha's KOIL-AM 1180.
