Omaha Beef Add 12 Premier Players To 2012 Roster

Omaha, NE: Just fresh to the Omaha Beef, Bruce Cowdrey has been busy with getting outstanding players signed for the 2012 season. Cowdrey is excited about the 12 new signees, stating "these guys are exceptional football players that will help Omaha contend for the 2012 IFL Championship. These guys are a good combination of speed, size, and experience, most of all they are playmakers."

The Omaha Beef are proud to announce the first 12 players that have signed for the 2012 season: Christopher Wilson, Thomas Harris, Freddie Parham, Trevar Deed, Terrance Conner, Judd Harrold, Andre Pope, Martevious Young, Justine Buries, Kwaheem Smith, Juwan Jones, Leo Dicesaris have been added to the 2012 roster.

Chris Wilson (WR), comes from Ferris State University where he was 2010 two-time player of the week, played in the All-American bowl, and is a premier D2 player.

Thomas Harris (WR), comes from Alabama A&M University. Not only is he the career leader in receiving yards (3,259), but he is also the season leader in receiving yards (1,208). He was named 1st team all conference in 2009, 2nd team all conference in 2008, and 3rd team FCS in 2008.

Freddie Parham (WR), comes from University of Southern Mississippi, All-Conference USA Honorable Mention for the 2009 college football season.

Trevar Deed (RB/WR), comes from Delta State University where he was first team All-American. He finished his 2010 season with career highs in rushing attempts (218), rushing yards (1,108), rushing TD's (11), & total offense (1,120). He was the only player in Gulf South Conference history to rush and receive for over 2,000 yards, finishing his career with 2,647 yards on 494 attempts with 29 touchdowns.

Terrance Conner (DL), comes from University of Southern Mississippi where he was selected to the All-conference honorable mention team.

Judd Harrold (WR), comes from University of Mount Union, in 2008, he played in 15 games and had 8 catches for 118 yards with a touchdown.

Andre Pope (DB/LB), comes from Fairmount State University where he received pre and post season All American honors.

Martevious Young (QB), comes from University of Southern Mississippi where he played in 6 games and registered 12 of 23 passings for 132 yards coming off the bench. He also has experience with the UIFL, Huntington Hammers.

Justine Buries (RB), comes from New Mexico State University where he was selected to the All WAC RB, and had 5 straight 100 yard games. He has experiences in the Big Northeast Football Federation (BNEFF) with the Chambersburg Cardinals where they were the BNEFF Champions. He averaged 13.7 yards per carry, 22.3 yards per catch, and 25 touchdowns.

Kwaheem Smith (CB), comes from Lincoln University where he was a Pre-season All-American as well as being selected for the All CIAA Rookie team.

Juwan Jones (WR), comes from Kentucky State University where he was selected for the 2008 1st team All-SIAC. He finished his career with 142 catches, 1,955 yards, and 17 touchdowns.

Leo Dicesaris (OL), comes from Troy University where he was a letter winner as well as being a part of the 2-time Sun Belt Championship team.

The Omaha Beef look to be a top contender for the 2012 season. "We've signed skilled people that are all capable of taking the ball the distance every time they touch it. The linemen we have signed thus far are all very well tested at their positions," stated Cowdrey.
