Sounders FC Midfielder Miguel Montano Loaned to Montreal Impact

RENTON, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Miguel Montano has been loaned to NASL club Montreal Impact. The term begins immediately and extends through the end of the 2011 season.
Montano, a 20-year-old from Colombia, is in his second season with Sounders FC. He has appeared in two league games this season and started one U.S. Open Cup match. He has also scored one goal with two assists in eight MLS Reserve League appearances. Montano started one of six appearances during his 2010 rookie campaign.
Seattle will open CONCACAF Champions League group play on Tuesday when it hosts Guatemala's Comunicaciones on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field. Kickoff is 7 p.m. PT.
