Clevenger Rejoins Smokies Roster Thursday

KODAK, Tenn. - The Tennessee Smokies, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, announce this afternoon that C Steve Clevenger has been added to the team's active roster. No corresponding moves have been announced at this time.The Smokies roster currently sits at 24 active players, which is the Southern League limit.
Clevenger, 25, comes back to Tennessee where he has played in 74 games in a Smokies uniform. In 2011, he has a .278 (67-for-241) batting average with 19 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 29 RBI. The Baltimore, Md. native was selected in the seventh round of the 2006 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
