Italian Night: The San Jose Giants have partnered with the Sons of Sicily for the fourth annual Italian Night on Saturday, July 23. The entire night will be a celebration of Italian culture with raffles, Italian music and food, vendor booths and giveaways. There will be a silent auction for the special Italian themed, game worn, player jerseys and many fun activities for the whole family. In addition, the first 1,000 fans will receive an Italian Night Baseball Hat presented by Country Club Villa Apartments and Battaglia Ranch Tree Farms.
San Jose Giants Bowl-A-Thon: Bowl with your favorite San Jose Giants at Homestead Lanes on July 23 at 9:30 PM. Festivities will include: Bowling, Pizza, Soda and Autograph Opportunities from some of your favorite San Jose Giants. One San Jose Giants Player will be designated the Beer Bowler and every time he throws a strike select drafts will be 2-for-1 for 10 Minutes. Martinelli's Apple Juice Kids Run the Bases: Following the conclusion of the games on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday July 24 the kids are invited down onto the field to run the bases, courtesy of Martinelli's Apple Juice.
Comcast Hometown Network Televising Live: Watch four games during this homestand live, Saturday, July 23 at 6:00 PM, Monday, July 25 at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 27 at 7:00 PM and Friday, July 29 at 7:00 PM, on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. After the initial live broadcast, the game will also be available for cable customers to view anytime through Comcast On Demand Channel 1.
Doubleheader on Sunday: The San Jose Giants and Visalia Rawhide will play a doubleheader with two seven-inning contests on Sunday, July 24 at Municipal Stadium. The first game of the doubleheader will count towards the second-half of the standings and the second game will be considered the makeup game and count towards the first-half standings. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM with a 30 minute break in between games. So come for the first game and stay for the second, because there's nothing better than free baseball.
OSH Merchant Night: The Merchant Night festivities continue on Sunday, July 24 and Thursday, July 28 with Orchard Supply Hardware Merchant Nights. Fans can pick up free admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to selected dates. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last. Throughout the season, single game tickets will be available at the Box Office and over the phone at (408) 297-1435 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Comcast Coverage: The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again joined forces to bring fans an expanded schedule of 25 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2011 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. Tune in and catch Joe Ritzo call all the action on Saturday, July 23 at 6:00 PM and Monday, July 25 at 7:00 PM as the Giants take on the Visalia Rawhide, and also Wednesday, July 27 at 7:00 PM and Friday, July 29 at 7:00 PM when the Giants match-up against the Lancaster JetHawks.
The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers.
