Padres Return Home Monday for First Time in 12 Days

The Tucson Padres return home to Kino Stadium for the first time since their win on July 6 against the Reno Aces. The Padres take on the Seattle Mariners Triple-A affiliate, the Tacoma Rainiers. All games start at 7:00 pm. Fans will notice a brand new infield at Kino Stadium with new sod put down in a week long process, led by San Diego Padres Director of Field and Landscape Maintenance Luke Yoder. As always, this series will feature free parking. Here is a game-by-game list of the upcoming promotions this week:
Monday, July 18: KiiM-FM FAMILY NIGHT
- Four reserved tickets, four hot dogs, four Coca-Cola based soft drinks for only $20, a $66 value! It is only $5 for every extra person that comes with you. Mention KiiM-FM at the box office to get the discount. The Greg Spivey Band will perform from 6 - 7 just inside Gate A. Greg Spivey has been entertaining Southern Arizonans for years with his great music.
Tuesday, July 19: COMMUNITY FOOD BANK NIGHT / KRAFT SINGLES TWO-FOR-TUESDAY
presented by KVOI - The Tucson Padres will be helping the hungry will a special offer to help the Community Food Bank. Each person who brings two (2) cans of food, as a donation for the Community Food Bank, will be admitted free. Community Food Bank donation boxes will be located at each entrance. Most needed items are canned meats, canned vegetables, canned soups, canned fruit and canned tomato products. "During the summer months the Food Bank's donations are down, so we especially appreciate the Tucson Padres conducting this food drive for us," said Bill Carnegie, President/CEO of the Food Bank. You can also bring specially marked KRAFT Singles wrappers to the Kino Stadium box office and receive two general admission tickets for the price of one for great savings! Wednesday, July 20: WIENER WEDNESDAY -
one dollar hot dogs, all night long, sponsored by Mia 97.1 and 92.9 The Mountain. It's also SOCIAL MEDIA NIGHT. The followers of the Tucson Padres Twitter and Facebook accounts will receive a special offer for all Wednesdays in July.
Thursday, July 21: BUDWEISER THIRSTY THURSDAY
- Budweiser, Bud Light and Coca-Cola products are just $1 per beverage. The beer and soft drink specials start at 6:00 when the gates open. Designated drivers get a wristband for complimentary soft drinks. Budweiser Thirsty Thursday is presented by KMSB Fox 11, K-HIT, and the Tucson Weekly. Also, it's only $2 for crafts like Sierra Nevada, Odell and Barrio. The Tucson Padres will also be raising money to benefit the family of Julian Aguirre; a five-year-old child that fought leukemia and died in June. His father is a Customs Agent and exhausted all of his resources. The family is in a rough spot with medical, funeral, mortgage and living expenses that they are unable to pay. $1 of every ticket sold at the box office will go to the Aguirre family and there will be a 50-50 raffle at the game.
