Fear the Beard Night Headlines Homestand

FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the 2010 World Champion San Francisco Giants, host the Salt Lake Bees for a four-game series and homestand beginning Tuesday, June 21st at Chukchansi Park in Downtown Fresno.

The homestand kicks off Tuesday, June 21st with 2-For-Tuesday, presented by KMPH FOX 26. Fans who purchase 2-for-1 Field Level Reserve tickets will also receive two FREE children's buffets at John's Incredible Pizza. In addition, hot dogs and sodas will be just $2 each through the end of the fifth inning, and kids will have FREE unlimited Fun Zone access all game long. Wednesday, June 22nd is another World Champion Wednesday, presented by the Fresno Bee, continuing the Grizzlies' year-long celebration of the Giants' World Championship. As with every Wednesday this season, one lucky fan will win a trip for four to see the Giants play at AT&T Park and a free night's stay at the Donatello Hotel in San Francisco. Plus, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a special Giant oversized baseball card, featuring former Grizzly and member of the Giants World Championship team, two-time National League Cy Young Award Winner Tim Lincecum.

The game will also be a Wireless Wednesday, presented by Verizon Wireless. The first 2,000 fans at Chukchansi Park will receive a foam baseball and one lucky fan will win a brand new cell phone featuring 4G speed from Verizon Wireless.

The Grizzlies Community Fund will also donate tickets to Wednesday night's game to each District Office to be distributed to local non-profit and charity organizations. Complimentary tickets are available by contacting your local councilmember at 559-621-8000. All non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate, and the District with the largest turnout will win the District Community Night Challenge. One lucky charity within the winning District will receive a $500 donation from the Grizzlies Community Fund.

The Grizzlies will celebrate the facial hair stylings of the popular members of the Giants bullpen on Thursday, June 23rd with Fear The Beard Night at Chukchansi Park. Fans can purchase a special package including two Field Level Reserve Tickets and two limited edition Fear The Beard T-shirts for just $38, in honor of former Grizzly and current Giants closer Brian Wilson's number. Fans who don't purchase the package can still get $1 off their ticket at the door by sporting a real or fake beard. And of course, all of this takes place on a Thirsty Thursday, presented by Tecate and Tecate Light. As they are at every Thursday home game, 12-ounce Tecate and Tecate Light beers are just $1 through the fifth inning, and 12-ounce sodas are just $1 all night long. Get to the ballpark early, avoid the lines and enjoy the Beard Garden, opening at 5:35pm! Last but not least, don't forget to bring a donation of dog food to drop off with Fresno Bully Rescue and get a beard painted on your face free!

The homestand concludes Friday, June 24th with Health & Wellness Night and another edition of Friday Night Fireworks. Several companies will have booths lining the concourse providing healthy food samples, healthy living information, and other facts and tips for fans of all ages. Following the game, fans will enjoy another spectacular pyrotechnics display, lighting up the night sky.

The Fresno Grizzlies return home to Chukchansi Park on Tuesday, June 21st when they welcome the Salt Lake Bees to Downtown Fresno.
