Knights Pitching Coach Richard Dotson Named to All-Star Staff

FORT MILL, S.C. - Charlotte Knights pitching coach Richard Dotson has been chosen as a member of the coaching staff of the 2011 International League Triple-A All-Star Game. Dotson is in his fourth season as pitching coach with the Charlotte Knights and 10th overall in the Chicago White Sox system.

Dotson, 52, played 12 major league seasons with the White Sox, New York Yankees, and Kansas City Royals. He pitched for the White Sox for much of his playing career, where he was named an American League All-Star in 1984.

Columbus Clippers' manager Mike Sarbaugh will lead the I.L. staff, coached by Doston and Dean Treanor of the Indianapolis Indians. Gwinnett's Mike Graus fills out the squad as the All-Star trainer. The 24th annual Triple-A All-Star game will be played on Wednesday, July 13th at Spring Mobile Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah.
