LHP Meadows to Nashville; RHP Byrd Activated

Huntsville, AL - The Milwaukee Brewers have made a pair of roster moves that will impact their Double-A affiliate Huntsville Stars prior to tonight's game against Jackson. LHP and Southern League All-Star Daniel Meadows has been promoted to Triple-A Nashville. RHP Darren Byrd has been activated from the disabled list.

Meadows is 5-2 with a 1.70 ERA in 19 games with the Stars. He leads the team in wins and has converted one of two save opportunities. Meadows is fifth in the Southern League in walks per nine innings pitched with seven walks over 37.0 innings. He's also fourth in the league in allowing the fewest baserunners per nine innings. He's allowed just 35 baserunners in those 37.0 innings.

Byrd was placed on the DL back on June 6, retroactive to June 5. He is 4-3 with a 3.58 ERA in 18 appearances. He's converted one of three save opportunities.

With these moves, the Stars active roster sits at 24 with six disabled.
