Extreme Clinch Playoff Berth for 5th Consecutive Season

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - With the Bloomington Extreme winning this past Saturday and a combination of losses by other teams in the United Conference of the Indoor Football League, the Extreme has secured a berth in the IFL playoffs. This marks the 5th consecutive season in which the Extreme has qualified for post-season play.

With 3 weeks remaining in the IFL's regular season and 2 regular season games remaining for the Extreme following a bye this week, the Extreme can qualify as high as the #2 seed. The Extreme are home on June 3 and at Wichita on June 11 and currently trail the Green Bay Blizzard, who play at La Crosse this Friday night, by a ½ game in the race for the Great Lakes Division crown and the #2 seed in the United Conference.

The Sioux Falls Storm have solidified the #1 seed with the top record in the IFL's United Conference and by winning the Great Plains Division. The Reading Express has won the Atlantic Division, guaranteeing themselves no worse than the #3 seed. The Green Bay Blizzard, Chicago Slaughter, Bloomington Extreme, and Omaha Beef have all clinched playoff berths, locking up the remaining 4 spots in the United Conference. The remaining 3 weeks of the IFL regular season will determine the seeding based on wins and losses.

The #1 and #2 seeded teams will receive a bye in the opening round of the playoffs held the weekend of June 18 and will host games during the second round the weekend of June 26. The #3 and #4 seeded teams will host the #5 and #6 seeded teams in the first round playoff games the weekend of June 18.

In the event the Extreme secures a home playoff game to be hosted at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum, ticket prices will be as follows:

- $7 - Bar Rail & Frontier Family Seats

- $10 - End Zone Seat

- $15 - Sideline Seat

- $20 - Front Row Seat

Season Ticket Holders will receive a complimentary ticket for each season ticket they currently hold for the first playoff game the Extreme would hold and receive any other playoff tickets for the first or for additional home playoff games for $2 off the playoff pricing. Groups of 10 or more will receive $2 off the listed pricing.

The Bloomington Extreme will return to action on Friday, June 3, with a 7:07 PM kickoff versus the La Crosse Spartans. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Spike (The Extreme mascot) bobblehead, compliments of Frontier and 101.5-WBNQ. The June 3 game is Scout Night, as well as Student Achiever Night as the Extreme kick off summer.
