Saskatoon Blades News Release

The Saskatoon Blades Hockey Club made their first pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. The Blades have selected centre Landon Hickmott 66th overall in the third round.

"Landon is a forward that competes very hard all over the ice. He is a good skater who has a lot of skill with the puck," commented Blades' Assistant General Manager Jarrod Brodsky. "Landon really impressed us at the BC Cup last weekend in Kamloops. He is brother of Jordan Hickmott who has been in the league for the past five seasons and played as an over-ager this season with the Edmonton Oil Kings."

The 5'11, 165 lbs forward is from Mission, BC.

The Saskatoon Blades are proud to welcome Landyn and his family to the organization.
