Tucson Padres Announce Homestand Promotions

Friday begins an eight game homestand at Kino Stadium, filled with memorable events and great deals for Tucson Padres fans. Below is a day-by-day breakdown of the next eight days:

Friday, April 15th - 7:00 pm: The first home game in Tucson Padres history with a pregame ceremony to honor the heroes of January 8th. Ceremonial first pitches will come from Daniel Hernandez, the intern who helped save the life of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, and from the four residents who helped contain the shooter. Before the game, fans will be entertained by the Los Changuitos Feos Mariachi Group. The national anthem will be performed by Sons of Orpheus, the Male Choir of Tucson. The official "Kids Bowl Free Bus" will be at Kino Stadium Friday as part of its national tour. Anyone under age 18 can register and get two free lanes of bowling every day of the summer.

Saturday, April 16th - 7:00 pm: It's our first Postgame Fireworks Spectacular, presented by Rosemont Copper. The other fireworks shows are May 28th, June 25th, July 4th and August 27th.

Sunday, April 17th - 6:00 pm: Military Appreciation Night, honoring all branches of the military in southern Arizona. The Tucson Padres will honor the military at every Sunday home game, and the team will wear camouflage uniforms on the field. The ceremonial first pitches will include top ranking officials of Davis Monthan AFB, Ft. Huachuca, Air National Guard, Army National Guard and Navy. Returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan will also be honored prior to the game Sunday.

Sunday is also Goodwill of Southern Arizona Night. Visit the community page of www.tucsonpadres.com and learn how you can get a 2-for-1 coupon for Sunday home games by donating to Goodwill.

Monday, April 18th - 7:00 pm: Facebook Friends Night, giving you the opportunity to come to the game free. Visit the Tucson Padres Facebook page, click on "Like," and you will see the details.

Tuesday, April 19th - 7:00 pm: Kraft Singles Two-for-Tuesday, giving fans two general admission tickets for the price of one. There will also be Kraft promotions throughout the game.

Wednesday, April 20th - 7:00 pm: Wiener Wednesday, giving you one dollar hot dogs all night.

Thursday, April 21st - 7:00 pm: Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, presented by KMSB Fox 11, KHIT, and the Tucson Weekly. After the first pitch, Budweiser, Bud Light and Coca-Cola products will go on sale for only $1.00. The beer special ends at 9:00 pm. Designated drivers will receive a wristband for complimentary soft drinks. All college students will be admitted for $4.50 with a college ID.

Friday, April 22nd - 7:00 pm: Tucson Padres Magnet schedule giveaway, presented by Domino's. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free 2011 Tucson Padres magnet schedule, courtesy of Domino's Pizza.
