Senators Recall Forward Cody Bass from Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 9, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Cody Bass from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .Bass, 24, who is being recalled to Ottawa for the first time this season, has recorded 15 points (six goals, nine assists) and 111 penalty minutes in 58 games with the B-Sens in 2010-11. He was recently recognized with the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award as the American Hockey League's 2010-11 IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year.
A native of Owen Sound, Ont., Bass most recently played in the NHL when he appeared in 12 games for Ottawa during the 2008-09 campaign. In 33 career regular-season NHL contests (all with Ottawa), Bass has recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and 34 penalty minutes.
The Senators next see action when they conclude their 2010-11 season with a 1 p.m. game against the Bruins today in Boston.
