Baysox Stalk the SeaWolves

March 30, 2011 - Eastern League (EL1) - Bowie Baysox News Release

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox prey on the Erie SeaWolves during Outdoorsman Night at Prince George's Stadium Friday, April 15, as the teams clash at 7:05 p.m. The event features a special ticket offer and promotions based on the great outdoors, including the return of the Bowie Regatta.

Any fan who presents a fishing, boating, hunting, or crabbing license or duck stamp to the box office the day of the game may purchase up to four lower reserved seat tickets for half price, at $7 each. The offer is only valid on tickets purchased at the stadium the day of the game, it does not apply to tickets purchased over the phone or online at www.baysox.com.

In-between innings, fans can look forward to promotions inspired by the great outdoors, including a duck-call contest, a crab catch and the second annual Bowie Regatta, the most exciting cardboard sailboat race on this side of the Chesapeake Bay.

Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers helped plan the event. "We know our fans do a lot of hunting, fishing and crabbing," Rogers said. "We host Outdoorsman Night less than 12 hours before the Rockfish season opens, so we hope our fans will kick off the fishing season with us as the Baysox take the field in the new rockfish-inspired alternate jerseys for the first time."

When the Baysox take the field, they will wear black jerseys featuring the team's new alternate logo. The team wears the jerseys every Friday night of the season. In conjunction with the new logo, the Baysox have partnered with the Chesapeake Bay Trust to foster environmental stewardship of the Bay.
