TODAY'S MATCHUP: Cincinnati looks to pick up a pair of much needed points in the Eastern Conference playoff race as they visit the ECHL's hottest team - the Kalamazoo Wings. The 'Clones are currently tied for eighth in the "East" with the Elmira Jackals - each holding 59 points apiece. Against the Wings this season, Cincinnati has earned a 4-4-2-1 record but have yet to win in Kalamazoo this year - going 0-2-1-1. 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two clubs have been decided by two goals or less.

SCOUTING THE WINGS: K-Zoo has earned points in an ECHL-high 12 consecutive games, the most recent of which was in come-from-behind fashion against Toledo on Friday night. Over their last ten tilts, the Wings have outscored their opponents by a combined total of 38-24. Thanks to their recent surge, Nick Bootland's club finds itself ranked third in the Eastern Conference standings - just nine points back of the top spot. Kory Karlander continues to rank among the ECHL's top scorers, ranking third in the league with 65 points (28 goals, 37 assists). Trent Daavettila, meanwhile, has strung together an eight-game point streak - posting 3 goals and 12 assists during that stretch. Both goaltenders have been solid between the pipes this year against the 'Clones; Ryan Nie has gone 5-1-0 with a 2.51 goals-against average while Riley Gill is 2-1-0-1.

Brought to you by the number 3: When Cincinnati's defense holds its opponent to three goals or less, they are deadly - going 23-4-5. The Cyclones have accomplished this feat in eight of their last eleven games.

Conference Chaos: The Eastern Conference as a whole, much like the North Division is a hotly contested battle. As of tonight, just three points separate seventh from tenth place. The top eight teams from the Conference qualify for the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Cincinnati is currently tied with Elmira for the eighth seed in the "East."

Cranking up the Shots: The 'Clones have continued to be a shooting gallery. Over its last ten games, Cincinnati is averaging 39 shots-per-game while holding its opponents to just 27. They have had 40 shots or more eleven different times this season and have accomplished that feat three times in their last five games.

The Ides of March: Cincinnati will need a solid month on the ice to solidify a Kelly Cup Playoff spot. Over the last two seasons, the Cyclones have earned a 27-15-2 record in the March.
