Adam Coruchaine made 30 saves on as many shots and Scott Burt had two goals and an assist to lead the Alaska Aces to a 5-0 win over the Stockton Thunder from Stockton Arena on Saturday night. Stockton Arena became the sixth different road building that the Aces have earned a shutout in this season. The win was the Aces sixth in the last seven road games, and lifted Alaska's record to 34-20-4 on the year. They remained two points behind Las Vegas with a game in hand for the top spot in the Western Conference, and moved three points ahead of Idaho with two games in hand for first in the Mountain Division. The Aces conclude their three-game road trip with the Thunder on Sunday afternoon. Wes Goldie added to the Aces lead at 7:00 of the period when he followed a Burt rush for a rebound goal, and his team-leading 31st of the season. Shortly thereafter Burt scored on a shorthanded breakaway at 8:22 to make it 3-0 Aces after one period of play. Alaska outshot Stockton 10-9 in the first period.

Burt added his second of the game at 14:54 of the second period off of a feed from the right corner to make it 4-0 Aces. The goal was the only of the middle period, and the Aces took the large lead into the final frame.

Ethan Cox put the exclamation point on the game late in the third with the only goal of the final frame when he capped a two-on-one at 17:45 to make it 5-0. Courchaine fought through cramps in the final seven minutes of regulation to earn the shutout.

Adam Courchaine (13-7-2) made 30 saves on 30 shots, earning his third shutout of the season. Bryan Pitton (17-8-3) took the loss, making 16 saves on 20 shots.
