Bulldogs Blanked 2-0 by Marlies

Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Toronto Marlies 2-0 in front of 8,693 fans at Copps Coliseum on Saturday. Greg Scott scored the game-winning goal with just over four minutes left while Ben Scrivens made 33 stops to earn the shutout for the Marlies.

After two scoreless periods, Toronto took a 1-0 lead at 15:33 of the final frame. Greg Scott intercepted a loose puck in front of the Hamilton net before using a forehand-to-backhand move and sliding the puck behind Hamilton starting goaltender Drew MacIntyre and into the net. Scott added an empty net marker at 19:48 to seal the victory for the Marlies.

The Bulldogs will travel to Toronto to face the Marlies in the second of back-to-back games on Sunday, March 6th for a 1:00 p.m. game at Ricoh Coliseum. The game can be seen live on CBC. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
