Extreme Start 2011 Season in Dominating Fashion, Defeat Richmond 44-6February 28, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL) Bloomington Extreme
The Extreme were lead behind offensive powerhouse Rocky Hinds. Hinds accounted for all 5 of the Extreme's scores, passing for 3 and rushing for 2. Hinds completed 17-34 passes for 134 yards and 3 touchdowns, while rushing for 34 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hinds did an oustanding job of spreading the ball, getting 5 different receivers involved. The receiving corp was lead by Extreme veteran Johnny Gray. Gray had 6 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. Standout receivers James Walton and Glen Johnson also saw the endzone. Walton caught 5 passes for 26 yards and a touchdown, while Johnson caught 4 passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. Runningback Tim Blackwell saw most of the carries for the Extreme. Blackwell rushed the ball 8 times for 27 yards. Peter Christofilakos was right back on track from last season, adding 5 extra points and 3 field goals, with the last field goal going through the uprights as time expired.
The Extreme defense put on a show, only allowing 126 yards and one touchdown all game. The defense was lead by Terril Mayberry and Winston Taylor, each accounting for 9 and 10 tackles respectively. Taylor and Defensive standout Sean Kelly each accounted for 2 sacks as well, while Antonio "Hollywood" Ficklin added another. With :03 seconds remaining, the Extreme called timeout to setup for a kick to reward the fans with Big Macs by scoring 44 points. Kicker Peter Christofilakos came through and sent all 4,413 fans home happy.
