Everblades Imbeault Gets Call to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that forward Alex Imbeault has been called up to the American Hockey League by the Connecticut Whale.

Imbeault becomes the second player in as many days to receive a call from the Whale, joining Francis Lemieux in Connecticut. Imbeault heads to the AHL for the first time this season having posted 46 points (31g, 15a) in 43 games with the Everblades. The 24-year-old's goal total currently leads the ECHL as does his 14 power play goals.

For Imbeault the trip to the AHL is the third of his career having also spent time with Providence in 2007-08 and Peoria in 2008-09. Overall the native of Montreal, Quebec has played in 18 total AHL games in his career recording nine points (5g, 4a).

The Everblades return to action on Saturday, February 26 when they travel to South Carolina to take on the Stingrays at 7:05 p.m. from the North Charleston Coliseum.
