Nailers Sign Forward Jason Weeks

WHEELING, WV â€" The Wheeling Nailers announced Friday that the team has signed forward Jason Weeks. The addition of Weeks comes one day after the Nailers acquired forwards Christiaan Minella and Sam D'Agostino from the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Weeks, 25, joins the Nailers after posting 12 points (8g, 4a) in just 11 games with the Augusta RiverHawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Weeks has also spent time this season with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League, logging 4 assists in 21 games. The Seattle, Washington native registered an assist in two games with the Bakersfield Condors last season.
Prior to his professional career, the 5'10", 198-lb forward was a four-year starter at Canisius College where he scored 107 career points (50g, 57a) in 138 games played. Weeks accrued 159 points in 167 games played during five seasons in the NAHL with the Cleveland Barons and the Texarkana Bandits.
Weeks is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Nailers take on the Reading Royals at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown.
Tonight's game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Wheeling squares off against division rival Toledo on Saturday at 8:05 p.m. Tune into to The Mix 97.3 to listen to both games. Fans may watch Saturday's game with Toledo at River City Ale Works on Main St. in Wheeling. The Next Nailers game at WesBanco Arena is Sunday, February 27 against Greenville.
