Miners Celebrating Valentine's Day with New Dance and Ticket

January 10, 2011 - Frontier League (FL) Southern Illinois Miners

MARION, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Miners are preparing for the Valentine's Day season with a new event and a new ticket deal. The Miners and River Radio will host Rent One Park's first ever Daddy Daughter Dance in the stadium's banquet facility at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4. Also, beginning Friday, Jan. 14, the Miners will offer the Valentine's Day Couples Ticket Pack.

The Daddy Daughter Dance will last from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The cost is $30 for one dad and one daughter and $15 for each additional child. Included with registration are hors d'oeuvres, drinks, a photo keepsake, prizes and entertainment. For more information or to register, visit the Miners website or call Terra Brenner at (618) 969-8512. The deadline to register is January 31.

"We're always excited to partner with River Radio on new events," Miners General Manager Tim Arseneau said. "We believe Rent One Park will be a fun setting for a dance."

The new Valentine's Day Couples Pack allows fans to select a pair of tickets to any four Miners regular season home games during the 2011 season. Each four-game pack will be $64. There is no limit to the amount of packs per purchase, but it is a limited time offer that will expire on Feb. 14. Fans can order the Valentine's Day Couples Pack at www.southernillinoisminers.com or by calling the Rent One Park Box Office at (618) 998-8499.

"Instead of just the usual flowers and chocolate, our Valentine's Day Couples Pack will be a unique gift for our fans," Arseneau said.

The Miners will open the 2011 season on Friday, May 20 on the road against the Gateway Grizzlies. The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, at 7:05 p.m. against the Evansville Otters.
