Houston Aeros News Release
HOUSTON --- The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL), primary affiliate of the Minnesota Wild (NHL), will host Hockey Hall of Famer Gordie Howe at the Jan. 21 game vs. the Texas Stars.
Howe is often referred to as Mr. Hockey and is generally regarded as one of the greatest hockey players of all time. He won two championships while a member of the World Hockey Association's Houston Aeros from 1973-77 and had the opportunity to play as a teammate with his sons Mark and Marty.
A four-time Stanley Cup champion with the Red Wings, he won six Hart Trophies as the league's most valuable player and six Art Ross Trophies as the leading scorer. He was the recipient of the first NHL Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
The Aeros will present two opportunities to meet Howe. A $250 donation to the Aeros "Tickets for Kids" program will grant two club level tickets and admission to a pregame meet-and-greet/photo-op with Howe.
The second will be limited to just three packages. A $5,000 donation to Houston Aeros Charities (a 501C charity) includes four club level tickets, an authentic Gordie Howe autographed jersey, along with the opportunity for up to four total guests to spend an entire period watching the game with Howe in a Toyota Center suite.
The only way to take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet one of hockey's legendary stars is by calling 713-361-7914.
Call 713-974-7825 (PUCK) for more information on Aeros tickets and other promotions.
