Countdown to Face-Off

For just the third time in franchise history, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the South Carolina Stingrays. Last season, the K-Wings lost both encounters against the Stingrays, which were also played at the North Charleston Coliseum and were outscored 7-1.

Snapping a six-game winless streak in dramatic fashion, the K-Wings defeated the Elmira Jackals last Saturday 6-5 in overtime. Tonight is game three of a four-game road swing for Kalamazoo, which is 1-0-0-1 thus far on the trip. On the season, the K-Wings are 0-6-0-1 against South Division teams.

This evening is game two of a three-game home stand for the Stingrays, which started the stand with a 2-0 loss on Saturday to the Greenville Road Warriors. On the season, South Carolina is 5-4-1-0 at the Coliseum and 1-1-0-0 against teams from the North Division.

Lloyd Reaches Milestone

With his first shift of the night, forward Darryl Lloyd will reach a personal milestone. Tonight will be Lloyd's 400th career professional contest.

Seventh Heaven

Forward Trent Daavettila enters the week on a seven-game point streak. The seven-game point streak is the longest current point streak by a member of the K-Wings.

Mad Hatter

On Saturday, forward Patrick Asselin netted the K-Wings second hat trick of the season for the Kalamazoo Wings. The hat trick was also the first in Asselin's career.

Surrendering Goals

So far this season, the K-Wings have allowed 3.95 goals-a-game. The 3.95 is the largest goals against average in the ECHL.
