Storm Acquire Another Forward from Chicago

KEARNEY, Neb. Head Coach and General Manger Drew Schoneck announced Wednesday afternoon that the Tri-City Storm have acquired forward Alex Carpenter from the Chicago Steel in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the 2011 USHL Entry Draft.
Carpenter, 19, has one goal, four penalty minutes and a minus-6 rating in 17 games this season. Last season, the left-winger had 14 goals, 10 assists and was minus-3 in 59 games.
The 5-foot-8, 170 pound native of Portage, Mich. is committed to Western Michigan University for next season. Carpenter will wear number 20 and is eligible for the games this weekend for the Storm.
The Storm play Friday night against Team USA U17 and host the Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday night to begin a six-game home stand at the Viaero Event Center.
