Frontenacs Acquire Sean Jones From Brampton

The Kingston Frontenacs are pleased to announce that they have acquired overage forward Sean Jones from the Brampton Battalion in exchange for a 3rd round selection in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection and a 5th in 2013.

Jones, playing in his 5th OHL season, has appeared in all 22 of the Battalion's games scoring 11 times and adding 5 assists for 16 points. He is currenlty third in Brampton's team scoring. Last season he lead the Battalion in scoring in the regular season with 32 golas and 49 points in 68 games, as well as his 8 goals and 12 points in 11 play-off contests last season.

"By adding Jones, we've picked up a proven veteran goal scorer with play-off experience ," said Larry Mavety, Director of Hockey Operations and General Manager. "We are looking forward to having him in the line-up Friday night," he added.

Jones was originally selected by the Sault Ste.Marie Greyhounds with the 25th overall pick in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection has appeared in 274 games in his career, scoring 84 goals and tallying 146 points. He has also added 210 minutes in penalties.

Jones will join the Club tomorrow for practice in preperation for this weekend's home double header when they face the Brampton Battalion and the Ottawa 67's.
