Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Visit Gwinnett to Kick off 2010-11 Season

North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays kick off their 18th season of hockey tonight against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:35 p.m. at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. Catch all the action live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 and at www.stingrayshockey.com. Tonight is the first of 16 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season.
The Stingrays travel to the Upstate to battle the Greenville Road Warriors for the first time in team history on Sunday, October 24 at 4:05 p.m. at the Bi-Lo Center. Listen to every second of the action on Fox Sports Radio 1450 and StingraysHockey.com. Opening Weekend is set for Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Note of the Night
The Stingrays are 32-27-10 all-time against the Gladiators and went 10-3-2-2 during the 2009-10 season.
Leading the Charge
Forward Trent Campbell led the Stingrays against the Gladiators during the 2009-10 campaign with eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points in 13 games.
Southern Hostility
The Stingrays battle all three South Division opponents in the first eight games of the 2010-11 season including three straight contests against the Greenville Road Warriors and the Florida Everblades. The Stingrays went 21-12-4-4 against their division rivals in 2009-10.
Keeping the Streak Alive
The Stingrays are currently on a five-game winning streak against the Gladiators dating back to January 17, 2010 and are 9-1-1-0 in their last 11 meetings.
