Salmon Kings Announce 2010 Training Camp Schedule

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today their 2010 Training Camp schedule.
Training Camp will run from October 3rd through October 10th, and will occur exclusively at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. All on-ice sessions will be open to both the media and the general public with free admission. Fitness testing and all off-ice sessions are restricted to team personnel only.
The 2010 edition of training camp kicks off with fitness testing on Sunday, October 3rd. The action turns to the ice on Monday, October 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the first official on-ice session of the 2010-11 season.
Presented by 100.3 The Q and the Zone @ 91.3, the Salmon Kings will host the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds for two exhibition games on Saturday, October 9th, and Sunday, October 10th. Puck drops on Saturday at 7:05 p.m., while Sunday's contest kicks off at 12:00 p.m. Admission is by donation to the TLC Fund for Kids, while all fans can purchase hot dogs, popcorn and pop for just a dollar! Vouchers for the discounted food and beverage are available for download at www.theq.fm or www.thezone.fm. Following the Sunday afternoon game, the Salmon Kings present their first of two "Skate with the Salmon Kings" for the 2010-11 season. Skates will be available to rent through the City of Victoria by donation.
The Salmon Kings open the 2010-11 season on Friday, October 15th in Idaho with a two-game set versus the defending National Conference champion Steelheads. Victoria returns home to open up their schedule at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre with a three-game set versus the Ontario Reign beginning Wednesday, October 27th.
