Washington Stealth Assistat Captain Sedgwick Inked for 2011

July 30, 2010 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) Washington Stealth

Everett, Wash. - The Washington Stealth announced today the re-signing of Assistant Captain Cam Sedgwick for the 2011 season. Sedgwick is the ninth player signed this offseason, as the Stealth look to maintain the winning formula that won the National Lacrosse League Championship last season.

Sedgwick will be entering his 10th NLL season, and his seventh with the Stealth franchise. The Vancouver native enjoyed the best season of his career two years ago, logging 63 points (23g, 40a) in San Jose. He followed that up with another stellar season last year, recording 58 points (22g, 36a). Sedgwick was instrumental in the Stealth's Championship run with 11 points (4g, 7a) in three playoff games, including two goals and four assists in the West Division Semifinals.

"Cam is a very vital part of our team and we are really happy to have him back with the Stealth for the coming season," said Stealth General Manager Doug Locker. "A savy veteran player, he is coming off his best professional seasons recently and we are counting on him to be a central piece of our offense in 2011. "Day in and day out Cam provides leadership and experience and is one of those guys you want on the floor when the game is on the line".

The Stealth will look to defend their NLL Title beginning in January 2011. The NLL schedule will be released in September and the Stealth training camp is expected to be held in late November. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.stealthlax.com or by calling 877-MY-75-TIX.
