July 19, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Allen Americans News Release

ALLEN, Texas - The Allen Americans are searching for national anthem artists for the 2010-11 season that is set to begin Oct. 15 at the Allen Event Center.

"We're looking for people that are energetic. The national anthem is a prelude to the game, and a well-performed song gets the crowd pumped up," Americans Director of Marketing and Promotions Randy Cumberland said.

Appearance, style and energy are taken into account. All prospective national anthem clips must be 80 seconds or less in length and performed a cappella. Bands, choirs and talented individuals of all ages are encouraged to participate.

Those interested can email a sound file and any relevant background information to randy@allenameircans.com. Hopeful singers can also send CDs or DVDs to 200 E. Stacy Road Building 1350, Allen, Texas, 75002. Deadline for submission is Friday, Aug. 13. The Americans cannot return audition submissions. Please make a copy for your files.

Season tickets for Allen's second season are on sale now. Ticket prices start as low as $9 per game with free parking at the Allen Event Center.
