Riversharks Offense Sputters

Camden Riversharks News Release
The Camden Riversharks were defeated by the Somerset Patriots in the first game of three at home with a score of 13-1. Justin Jones was awarded the win and Riversharks Ben Davis was charged with the loss.
Somerset's first run came during the second inning. Noah Hall was hit by a pitch to get on base, proceeded to advance on a wild pitch, and then was brought a David Housel. The runs continued in the innings to follow. Two were scored in the second, four in the third, five in the sixth and one final run in the top of the ninth frame.
Four of the five runs in the sixth came from a grand slam for Jason Belcher. After Josh Pressley doubled to drive in Tim Raines Jr., Belcher blasted a grand slam home run over the wall.
Camden was only able to add one run in the bottom of the fifth. Chiaravalloti reached on Jeff Nettles error and was driven in on a Shea Harris single.
The Riversharks continue the series tomorrow evening at 7:05pm. They will remain home for a three game series. Riversharks Travis Chick will pitch against Casey Cahill for game two of the series. Listen to Tim Saunders and the entire radio team for the live broadcast of all the action.
