TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Harrisburg Senators will meet in the opener of a three-game series...The Bowie Baysox claimed the four-game series with the Flying Squirrels, winning the finale 3-2 in extra innings on Monday night at The Diamond.

TONIGHT'S STARTER: Right-hander Ronnie Ray gets the start in the opener of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Received a no-decision in his third start of the season 5/27 at Binghamton...Allowed one run on six hits in 4 2/3 innings...Struck out three and walked none...Three of the six hits allowed went for extra bases...Retired the first seven batters he faced...Lone run allowed came on a Nick Evans leadoff homer in the bottom of the fourth...Retired the leadoff batter in four of his five innings on the mound...Recorded five ground outs and five fly outs...Threw 76 pitches, 49 strikes...Went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and five RBI...Has not issued a walk in 12 1/3 innings...Matched his longest outing of the season...Outing was his longest since 8/23/07 against Visalia when he tossed five innings...Is 0-0 with a 4.85 ERA in his three starts (7R/13.0 IP)...Is 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA (3R/4.0 IP) in three career appearances against the Senators, all in relief...Making his first start at home.

Left-hander Tom Milone gets the nod in the opener of the series for the Senators...Matched a season high by giving up five runs and allowed a season-high 11 hits over five innings in his last start against Bowie on 5/27...has allowed 60 hits in 52 1/3 innings (.295 OBA)...Has struck out 40 batters and walked nine...Went 27 2/3 innings without issuing a walk (4/27-5/22)...Has not lost since 5/1 against Altoona (5GS)...Spent all of 2009 with Advanced-A Potomac and went 12-5 with a 2.91 ERA in 27 games, 25 starts...Struck out 106 batters and walked 36 in 151 1/3 innings...Selected by Washington in the 10th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft...Attended the University of Southern California...Enters the 2010 season rated as the #3 prospect in the Baltimore Orioles farm system according to Baseball America.

A DIVE AFTER FIVE: For the first time this season, the Flying Squirrels lost a game when leading after five innings...The club was ahead 1-0 last night before falling 3-2 in 11 innings...Richmond is now 20-1 when leading after five innings...It is the best winning percentage in the Eastern League when leading after five innings...Harrisburg is second, having gone 18-1 (.947) when leading after five frames.

NOTHING EXTRA: The Flying Squirrels fell to 1-2 in extra innings with last night's loss to the Baysox in 11 frames...The game lasted 3:38 minutes and fell just eight minutes shy of matching the longest game of the season for the club which came on 4/13 at Altoona...The 14-inning affair lasted 3:46 minutes with the Curve winning 1-0.

BEHIND THE CURVE: The Flying Squirrels trail the Altoona Curve in the Western Division by six games entering play today...It is the farthest the club has been out of first place this season...Richmond had a 1 1/2 game lead over Altoona on 5/14..Since that date, the Flying Squirrels are 5-11 while the Curve is 13-4

EYE OF THE TIGER: First baseman Andy D'Alessio has hits in a season-best five straight games...The Clemson University product is 7-for-17 (.412) over his last five contests with a double, RBI, and four runs scored...The 22-year-old has hits in six of his eight contests (11-for-27) since coming off of the Disabled List on 5/23.

THOMAS THE TRAIN: Outfielder Thomas Neal has hits in each of his last five games going 7-for-22 (.318) with three doubles, a RBI, and two runs scored...It is the third hit streak of five games or more for the 22-year-old this season...Neal has a team-high 15 multi-hit games and also leads the club with 52 hits...He has appeared in all 51 games this season, starting 50 of them...Last night was the first time he hit fifth in the line up.

NO SHOCKER: Third baseman Conor Gillaspie is hitting .383 (23-for-60) over his last 15 games after being left out of the starting line up on consecutive days (5/13, 5/14) against Altoona...The 22-year-old has four doubles, two triples, 11 RBI, and 10 runs scored over his last 15 games...He has struck out just five times and has walked three...The former first-round pick out of Wichita State is also 8-for-13 with runners in scoring position over that span with nine RBI, and he leads the club with 29 RBI on the season...Gillaspie was 7-for-35 (.200) over his previous 32 games...His average has climbed from .198 to .261.

HERE'S THE CATCH: Catcher Jackson Williams went 0-for-10 with three strike outs through the first three games of the series with the Baysox...The 24-year-old began the season with an 11-game hit streak (14-for-34) but is batting just .100 (9-for-90) over his last 29 games...His average has dropped from .412 to .185 over that span.

NO HOMER FIELD ADVANTAGE: The Flying Squirrels have hit just two home runs over their last 15 home games...Both have been inside-the-park homers...Richmond has not hit a home run out of The Diamond since Nick Noonan's solo home run off of Ryohei Tanaka on 5/2...The club has hit an Eastern League-low 22 home runs...Only seven of the 22 homers have been hit at home including two hit in the home opener.

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 65 double plays in 51 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned and has not gone more than two games without turning a double play.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: The Flying Squirrels finished the month of May 15-15...The club finished third in the Eastern League in ERA (3.93), tenth in batting average (.244) and last in home runs (12).
