Toledo's Aliu Fined, Suspended

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Akim Aliu of the Toledo Walleye has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #A-1, Charlotte at Toledo, on April 6.

Aliu was assessed a game misconduct at 11:55 of the third period for abuse of officials, and is suspended and fined under Rule #29 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Aliu will miss Toledo's playoff game against Charlotte on April 7.
