B-Sens Sign Defenseman Neil Petruic

March 10, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Binghamton Senators News Release


BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have signed defenseman Neil Petruic to a standard player contract.

Petruic, 27, has appeared in 20 games with the B-Sens this season, recording one goal and two assists for three points.

A native of Regina, Sask., Petruic appeared in 13 games with the Manitoba Moose recording one goal, one assist and eight penalty minutes. He also appeared in three games with the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL where he recorded one assist.

Petruic was Ottawa's first eighth-round pick (235th overall), in the 2001 NHL entry draft.

The B-Sens return to the ice tonight in Manchester as they face the Atlantic Division's Monarchs at 7 p.m. Fans can listen live on 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM beginning 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the B-Sens.
