Rhinos Winter Classic Schedule Of Events For March 6th

Rochester Rhinos News Release


The Rochester Rhinos Winter Classic is a soccer festival/tournament for charity. The idea is to create a fun atmosphere to raise money in our community for a couple great charities while also bringing together local soccer players and non-soccer players alike. The festival will consist of small-sided, half-field soccer games at Marina Auto Stadium.

All proceeds will go directly to the Genesee Region Special Olympics and the relief efforts in Haiti, through the American Red Cross.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

9:45AM:

* Team Arrival for Waiver Signatures and player/team sign-in * Arrive at Sign-In table inside stadium

10:15AM:

* Welcome to event

10:20AM:

* Genesee Region Special Olympics - Robin Mitchell, Director of Genesee Region Special Olympics

10:27AM:

* American Red Cross to Speak - John Butrill, CEO of American Red Cross

10:35AM:

* Teams to warm-up, take the field

11AM:

* Games Commence * Games of note:

* 11am: MCC vs Batavia Rovers (GCC players) - Field 1 * 12:20pm: Batavia Rovers vs Lakers (SUNY Oswego players) - Field 1 * 1:40pm: MCC vs Lakers - Field 1 * 3:15pm: Championship Games - Field 1 and 2

* Trophy presentation to immediately follow

3PM:

* Raffle Winners Announced
