Everblades Name Healey Assistant Coach

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush announced that Paul Healey has been named assistant coach for the remainder of the 2009-10 season.

Healey, 34, has played in 13 games with the Everblades this season since signing with the club in mid-December. From December 26 through January 29, 2010, Healey scored in six straight games (4-3=7). The Edmonton, Alberta native notched four goals and three assists with eight penalty minutes with the 'Blades this season. The highlight of his 15-year professional career were his 77 National Hockey League appearances. He scored six goals and 20 points in those NHL contests and has appeared in nearly 927 regular season professional games during his career scoring 239 goals and 271 assists for 510 points with 688 penalty minutes.

Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush said Healey will make a fine addition to the coaching staff, "Paul has had an excellent professional hockey career. From those experiences he will make a great addition to our coaching staff as we approach the Kelly Cup Playoffs."
