Decker was selected by the Padres in the supplemental first round (42nd overall) of the 2008 draft.
In each of his first two professional seasons, his on-base percentage has ranked in the top four of Minor League Baseball. Decker was the 2008 Arizona Rookie League MVP. In 2009, he was selected to play in the Midwest League All-Star Game but did not play due to an injury.
MLB.com ranks prospects based on the players' upside and closeness to the Major Leagues and uses input from scouting directors, scouts and other industry sources. Decker checked in at No. 48 in MLB.com's rankings from mid-season 2009. The latest rankings were unveiled Wednesday night on MLB Network.
