The Chicoutimi Segueneens scored first but the Moncton Wildcats roared back with five unanswered goals for a 5-1 win on Saturday night in front of 4076 fans at the Coliseum.
Marek Hrivik, Kelsey Tessier, Scott Brannon, Gabriel Bourque and Randy Cameron scored for the Cats. The lone Chicoutimi goal was scored by Alexandre Lavoie.
It was 1-1 after the first, 3-1 Wildcats after two and 5-1 when the final buzzer sounded.
Moncton outshot the visitors 33-21.
