January 12, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL) - Atlanta Gladiators News Release

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Tom Zanoski has been returned on loan from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. Zanoski signed a professional tryout contract with the Senators and made his AHL debut on December 26th. In eight games with Binghamton, he registered an assist, a plus-minus rating of -3, and six penalty minutes.

Prior to signing with the Senators, Zanoski recorded 17 goals and 15 assists in 24 games with the Gladiators this season, turning in a +3 rating as well as 28 penalty minutes. He returns to the team as the second leading scorer, just one point behind Adam Berti, who has 33 points.

Zanoski, a third-year pro out of Dalhousie University, made his pro debut with the Stockton Thunder in 2007 before returning to Dalhousie to wrap up the 2007-08 season. He then rejoined the pro ranks last season, spending short stints with Stockton and Dayton before being traded in January of 2009 to Gwinnett, where he played 31 regular season games and led the Gladiators with eight points in five playoff contests. In 103 ECHL games, Zanoski has recorded 75 points on 38 goals and 37 assists. While at Dalhousie University he tallied 60 points in 66 games over three seasons.

Prior to Dalhousie University, Zanoski skated four junior seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2001-2005, splitting time between the Owen Sound Attack and Mississauga IceDogs.

The Gladiators continue their 7th season in the ECHL on Wednesday, January 13th at Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and Columbus Blue Jackets and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
