O'Reilly Selected For AHL All-Star Classic

Milwaukee, WI-The American Hockey League announced today that Milwaukee Admirals Center Cal O'Reilly been selected to play in the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic in Portland, ME on January 18 and 19. This is the second consecutive year that O'Reilly has been picked to participate in the event.

In 25 games so far this season with the Ads, O'Reilly has posted seven goals and 23 assists for 30 points to go along with a +11 rating. The Toronto, ON native leads the team in scoring and is third in the Western Conference in spite of missing seven games while on recall with the Nashville Predators. He has earned at least a point in 20 out of his 25 games this season and is currently riding an eight-game point streak which is the longest active streak in the AHL and one shy of the league high for the year.

O'Reilly has skated in nine games with Nashville this season, recording an assist and two penalty minutes. In 20 career NHL contests, all with the Predators, he has three goals and three assists for six points.

Nearly a point-a-game scorer in his four seasons with the Admirals, O'Reilly has recorded 243 points (54g-189a) in 252 career games. Since the Admirals joined the AHL in 2001, the Predators fifth round pick in 2005 is the franchise leader in assists and is second in points. He set a career high with 79 points in the 2007-08 season, which lead the team and was fifth in the AHL, and then posted 69 points (13g-56a) in 67 games with the team last year, good for second among Milwaukee scorers. During his rookie campaign in 2006-07, O'Reilly led the team with 47 assists and was second on the squad with 65 points.

The 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic will feature the top talent in the American Hockey League competing in the 2010 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Monday, January 18 (8:00 p.m. ET) and the 2010 AHL All-Star Game on Tuesday, January 19 (6:00 p.m. ET), and will be televised live nationally in the United States and Canada. Of the 492 players to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic since 1995, more than 94 percent have competed in the National Hockey League, including Patrice Bergeron, Brad Boyes, Dan Boyle, Daniel Briere, Brian Campbell, Zdeno Chara, Rick DiPietro, Miikka Kiprusoff, Kari Lehtonen, Ryan Miller, Zach Parise, Bobby Ryan, Martin St. Louis, Jason Spezza, Eric Staal and Tomas Vokoun.

O'Reilly and the Admirals return to action Tuesday night when they play host to the Rockford IceHogs at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center.
