11.25.09 - Worcester 3 - Springfield 2 - Mass Mutual Center
Logan Couture extended his point streak to eight games with a power play goal after his snap shot from 45 feet rang off the cross bar and in to lift the Sharks to a 3-2 feisty victory at the Mass Mutual Center on Wednesday night. Ryan Vesce had two points (1-1-2) and Alex Stalock was superb in net (25 saves) for the Sharks as Worcester won their third straight game by 3-2. The Sharks scored two power play goals for just the 2nd time this year and Joe Lopieno fought Kip Brennan in the third period.
11.27.09 - Worcester 2 - Providence 1 - Dunkin Donuts Center
Joe Callahan scored midway through the third period and Alex Stalock made 24 saves in net to lift the Sharks to a 2-1 victory at the Dunkin Donuts in Providence on Friday night. Dan DaSilva scored his 4th of the season in the first period and Dean Strong extended his point streak to three games (2-1-3) with an assist on the game winner as the Sharks won their 4th straight game. Worcester outshot the Bruins 39-25 in the contest.
11.28.09 - Worcester 4 - Bridgeport 1 - DCU Center
Danny Groulx picked up a goal and his 16th assist of the year and Logan Couture scored his 5th game winner of the season to aid the Sharks to a 4-1 win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Saturday night at the DCU Center. Worcester's Alex Stalock made 29 saves and Steven Zalewski had three assists on the night. Andrew Desjardins scored his 6th goal and Ryan Vesce added three points with a goal and two assists. Steven Zalewski recorded three assists as the Sharks won their season high 5th straight game.
Sharks in the Atlantic
The Sharks are currently swimming in 3rd place with 27 points (13-10-0-1) in the Atlantic Division through 24 games trailing the first place Manchester Monarchs by six points and the 2nd place Hartford Wolf Pack by two points. The Lowell Devils and Bridgeport Sound Tigers are tied with the Sharks with 27 points. The Pirates and Falcons tied for 6th place (25 points) while the 8th place Bruins have 23 points to round out the eight team division in a very choppy Atlantic Division.

*400 WINS!....With the 4-1 victory vs. Springfield on November 1st, head coach Roy Sommer became just the 4th coach in AHL history to reach the 400 win plateau.

*In Coach Sommer's first AHL victory.... The Kentucky Thoroughblades defeated the Albany River Rats 6-4 at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on October 17th 1998. Coincidentally, Assistant Coach David Cunniff recorded an assist as a member of the River Rats in the hockey game.
*Assistant Coach David Cunniff has joined Coach Sommer in 249 of the 406 victories (61%).
