(Rochester, NY)... With the Rochester Americans off to one of the best starts in the team's 54-year history, the team is encouraging fans to get their tickets prior to the much-anticipated 7:05 p.m. game on Friday, November 27th against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins."I encourage all fans interested in coming to our game on Friday night to buy their tickets in advance. Lines at the Box office last Friday night were approaching an hour in length, and some fans missed nearly the entire first period. We anticipate a very big crowd and the box office line to purchase tickets may be even longer this Friday night," said Amerks President Lewis Staats.
The Amerks' crowd last Friday night was a season-high 6,092, as Rochester defeated the Syracuse Crunch 5-2 at The Blue Cross Arena. The Amerks (15-2-1-0, 31 points) are currently the top team in the North Division and are second in the American Hockey League to only the Texas Stars.
Fans can also avoid the lines by purchasing one of three partial season ticket plans: the 20-game Freedom Package, 12-game Plan or the Amerks 10 Pack. The 20 and 12-game packages offer a reserved seat to the selected number of remaining home games on this year's schedule. The Amerks 10 Pack offers 10 unreserved ticket vouchers redeemable in any quantity for any remaining 2009-10 Amerks regular season home games. All three plans offer a Calder Cup Playoff Ticket Discount option.
