HARTFORD, November 24, 2009: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Devin DiDiomete to the Wolf Pack from the team's ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.Since being assigned to Charlotte November 3, DiDiomete, a second-year pro, had skated in six ECHL games, notching two goals and an assist for three points, along with 46 penalty minutes. That penalty-minute total ranked him third on the Checkers' squad. Prior to heading to Charlotte, DiDiomete had missed the Wolf Pack's first 12 games of the season, after being injured in the Wolf Pack's last preseason game, September 27 vs. Worcester.
Last season the 5-11, 200-pound DiDiomete skated in 73 games with the Pack, registering four goals and five assists for nine points, along with a team-leading 239 penalty minutes.
The 21-year-old DiDiomete was signed to a free-agent contract by the Rangers October 20, 2008, out of the Ontario Hockey League.
The Wolf Pack return to the ice tomorrow night, Wednesday, November 25, as they travel to Lowell to take on the Devils at 7:00 (WTIC HD-2, www.hartfordwolfpack.com, www.wtic.com ).
