North Charleston, SC - The Kelly Cup Champion South Carolina Stingrays announced today that goaltender Braden Holtby has been sent to the team from the Hershey Bears, forward Trent Campbell has been recalled by the Worcester Sharks and defensemen Patrick Wellar has been called to Hershey.Holtby, 20, is 3-1-1-2 with a 2.74 goals-against average and a.913 save percentage in seven games played with the Stingrays. The Lloydminster, SASK played for the Bears last night in a 3-2 shootout loss against the Springfield Falcons. Holtby knocked aside 15 of 17 Springfield shots through 65 minutes of play.
Campbell, 26, has three goals and six assists for nine points in 12 games for the Stingrays this season. Wellar, 25, recorded no points and 16 penalty minutes in 12 games for South Carolina.
Today, Sunday, November 22, the Stingrays battle the Johnstown Chiefs in their only visit to North Charleston Coliseum for the 2009-2010 season.
