Minnesota Wild Recalls RW Danny Irmen

HOUSTON - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Danny Irmen from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Irmen, 25 (9/6/84), recorded 10 points (6-4=10) including two game-winning goals in 17 games with the Aeros this season. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Fargo, N.D. recorded 18 points (7-11=18) and 39 penalty minutes (PIM) in 69 contests with Houston in 2008-09 and added two goals in 20 playoff matches. He has not appeared in an NHL game. Irmen played three seasons at the University of Minnesota (2003-06) and recorded 103 points (54-49=103) and 146 PIM in 118 games. He will wear sweater #40 with Minnesota. Irmen was originally selected by the Wild in the third round (78th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
