Moose Announce Results From First-Ever Super Skills Competition

The Manitoba Moose hosted their first-ever Super Skills Competition Tuesday night where Team Black proved victorious with an 18-7 win over Team White in front of a packed house at MTS Centre. In an event that lasted roughly an hour, the Moose put on a show that gave spectators a chance to watch the players compete with one another as well as meet the entire team in an autograph session following the skills event. Team Black, which was made up of Daren Machesney, Nolan Baumgartner, Evan Oberg, Geoff Waugh, Eric Walsky, Derek Leblanc, John Lammers, Mario Bliznak, Darryl Bootland and Marty Murray, were awarded a trophy for earning the first-ever Super Skills title.

The results from the first-ever Super Skills Competitions are as follows:

Hardest Shot: Travis Ramsey - 97 miles per hour

Fastest Skater: Eric Walsky - 13.46 seconds

Most Accurate Shot: Eric Walsky - 5 targets in 11.96 seconds

Breakaway Competition: Team Black & goaltender Daren Machesney
